Kiki, what would you say is your favorite piece that you've designed, and why?
I love all my designs; each represents my thoughts and feelings. For example, the "Empress" dress from my "when east meets west" collection became internationally popular.
How does your Chinese cultural heritage influence your design approach, and do you have a preference for designing for Chinese or Western clients, with distinctions in your creative process for each?
My Chinese heritage greatly influences my work. The "red collection" honors Chinese culture, symbolizing good luck and prosperity. I enjoy designing for both Chinese and Western clients, adjusting for cultural differences.

What would you say is the world’s most stylish capital city and why?
Paris is the world's most stylish capital due to its fashionable population and attention to health.
Tell us about how you approach bringing a piece of clothing to life for a client. What does your process look like?
I begin by understanding the client, not just in fashion but personally, to create something they need. I prioritize making clients feel better about themselves.
What are your thoughts on sustainability in fashion and do you incorporate this notion into your work?
Sustainability is vital in fashion. We repurpose old sample dresses to reduce waste, contributing to a more eco-friendly fashion industry.
