L'Officiel Cyprus presents Marilia Kensy Falkenberg, a Brazilian model with a fashion marketing degree. She believes that constantly furthering yourself is the key to achieving your goals.

Were you excited to shoot for the digital cover of L'Officiel Cyprus? Tell us something about the style of this shoot.

I was in São Paulo for this shooting with two amazing photographers and a great stylist. Together with L'officiel Cyprus, we chose a denim concept with some oversized pieces. It was super exciting as I love denim because it's a universal garment, used by everyone for generations.

If you weren't a model, what would you be?

I think I would've become a pilot. My dad is a pilot, and I was always interested in that profession. When I was 17, he gave me some flying lessons, and I loved it. But I also thought about nutrition and business.

What is your standard of beauty?

I think each person is unique. Each one of us has our own beauty. We must always remember that our differences are what make us unique.

What is the one thing about yourself that you wish more people knew?

I really enjoy being by myself, but I also like to be with people who are important to me: my loved ones, friends, family, and me. I live a very healthy life: healthy food, exercise, and love taking care of my skin and hair. I laugh a lot.

Which style do you prefer for every day and which is the favourite thing in your wardrobe?

I love wearing black clothes, my wardrobe use to be all black. I'm trying to change that a little bit. On a casual day, I like to wear black jeans, a fitted shirt, nice sneakers, and a nice purse. My favourite thing in my wardrobe is my sunglasses, sneakers, and purses.

When you are not busy modeling, what is your favourite thing to do?

I love traveling, whenever I have free time I travel. Right now I'm living in Mexico, so last year I went to many places inside the country with my friends. This year we have already been in Brazil, the Bahamas, and the Dominican Republic. Whenever I can, I'm at the beach getting sun. I love hot weather. One of my favourite places to go is Miami.

Which three words best describe you?

Independent, ambitious, and an animal lover.

Which world models inspire you?

The Brazilian models Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio and Lais Ribeiro.

Which famous designers do you like?

I really like Coco Chanel and Diane Von Furstenberg's careers and the designs of Christian Dior and its elegance.

Which is the most cherished dream in your professional career as a model?

Living abroad, I always wanted to live outside Brazil and work in as many places as possible.
