Inas X, what does the X in your stage name stand for?

My real name is Inas. When I started doing music, I wanted to mark my own independence so I adopted the “X” as my last name. Now, it represents so much for me and my fans. It’s a symbol of empowerment and inclusivity. I’ve realized I’m on the same frequency as Elon with that vibe. I put X in everything. My name is Inas X. My label is Love X. We love it here, X.

How would you best describe your music?

It's a celebration of my Middle Eastern/American background. I’ve been blending Middle Eastern influences with modern beats, inspired a lot by early Timbaland beats. Through my music, I want to empower all of my people, always representing my roots and who I am.

Your Middle Eastern background plays an important role in your music. Tell us about your earliest experience with Middle Eastern music. Do you have any musical idols from that world?

Growing up, I always listened to Arabic music and went to a bunch of Arabic weddings, so that inspired everything I’m doing. I would say Nancy Ajram was the most influencer pop star in that world to me growing up.

You will be releasing your first EP in September. Which is your favorite track and why?

All of them in their own ways. I have a song called “Goddess”. I’m really excited about. For all my girls, owning their Goddess Energy!

What are your goals for the future? Are there any upcoming projects, aside of the EP, that we can look forward to?

Yes, I’m excited to launch new products that I’ve been passionately working on. Getting more into health/wellness and creating good products for my ladies is everything to me, so more on all of that coming soon! First focused on taking over that stage and taking over in music.
