Facial yoga: Expert Inka Lehner on the natural anti-aging method
Goodbye wrinkles! Facial yoga helps to tighten facial features in a gentle and natural way. In a talk with the certified Face Yoga trainer Inka Lehner, we will learn how the method works and what other advantages it has.
Face yoga is a trend from the USA that became known under the name "Yotox". Targeted facial exercises prevent skin aging. The skin is tightened, wrinkles and dark circles are reduced. The exercises promote blood circulation and strengthen the muscles in the face that we need for facial expressions and changing facial features.
In everyday life, we sometimes tend to freeze our facial expressions in a certain position. This results in very different wrinkles such as frown lines caused by squinting the eyebrows or forehead wrinkles caused by constant frowning. But age-related degradation of collagen and hyaluronic acid can also cause wrinkles to appear.
Facial yoga is often referred to as "injection-free"botox . Inka Lehner confirms that it is one of the most natural and effective ways to slow down skin aging or eliminate its effects. "It's a series of exercises and massages in which the muscles are repeatedly contracted and relaxed. By building up the muscles, the face regains volume and counteracts the "downward trend". The collagen and subcutaneous connective tissue is optimally supplied with blood through the training, which means that the skin cells receive enough oxygen and nutrients again,” says the expert.
The workout for the face is not only fun, but also has a relaxing effect on our entire body. Whether in the office, at home or in the car: the exercises can be carried out from anywhere.

The most important question: Can it really prevent and reduce wrinkles?
Yes, it leads to the following positive changes in your face:
- The face regains a fresh and radiant appearance.
- The skin becomes smoother and tighter, wrinkles are reduced or disappear.
- Eyebrows rise and the eyes appear more open and larger again.
- The nasolabial line smooths out.
- The cheek area is lifted, firmed and tightened.
- The lips appear fuller and lip wrinkles are smoothed.
- Hanging corners of the mouth point upwards again.
- A double chin decreases or disappears.
- The neck and décolleté become smoother and firmer.
- imperfections disappear.
Thus, it is a natural facelift for the face and neck.
How often should the exercises be done to get visible results? Is there a minimum age that one should have reached?
Age doesn't matter, whether you're training preventatively or wanting to regain your toned, youthful contours. Starting at 30 is not too early, as visible skin aging begins at 25 years of age.
Faceyoga is a revolutionary and effective workout that is already trusted by many. The first results can be seen after 10 days, provided you train regularly 2-3 times a week. After 1 month you notice the first before/after result, after 2 months the result is visible to others.
Is there a simple exercise that you could explain to us?
Yes, e.g. "The Lion". This one exercise strengthens your chin, cheeks and neck.
Execution: Open your mouth and smile broadly. Stick out your tongue and pull it down as far as possible. Hold the tension for 30 seconds, take a short break. 3 repetitions. If we open our eyes wide to do this, without raising our eyebrows or frowning, we are already training the whole face.
They offer individual and group training, but also online training via Zoom. What does a training session look like?
A training session lasts about 60 minutes. The class begins with relaxation of the cervical spine, shoulders, scalp and décolleté. Then the facial muscles are warmed up. Next, we start with a series of exercises that I have coordinated. Finally we relax with a 5-10 minute facial massage.
