Arina Gordiy - Young Star On Model Olymp
How did you begin your modeling career?
When I was ten and a half, I began to slouch and had really bad posture. My mother suggested going to a modeling agency to fix this, as they would teach me how to walk and carry myself properly. I was immediately signed by the agency and also went on to visit three modeling schools due to my appearance and figure.
What are your ambitions for the future of your career?
Of course, I would like to become a top-level model. It's not for fame, but you want to do it well if you begin to do something seriously. I want to work for global brands, and while I currently have two foreign contracts, it is impossible to travel because of the pandemic. I want to develop not only my modeling aspirations but also work in television and media. I began working in radio and started doing interviews at music and modeling events. Therefore, I also want to continue to develop in this direction.
What is the most important thing in your life?
My family. Even your friends can change as you grow up. And my parents, brothers, grandparents - these are the people who are always with me. Although they also criticize or even scold me sometimes, I know that they do this out of love.
How do you react to criticism?
In different ways. Mentally, I understand that this is normal because there are endless possibilities to learn or improve. Although sometimes it hurts my feelings, it isn't easy to cope with the emotions, and then the tears come rolling in. Then I try to pull myself together, think it over, and try to carry on. At the same I never get resentful. Just emotional.
Where do you see room for improvement?
As I said, one needs to learn to manage one's emotions better. In professional terms, for example, I have not yet ideally mastered all types of walks.
Do you suffer from arrogance?
No, not that I am aware of. In ordinary life, like others my age, I study for school, shoot Tik-Tok videos and enjoy going to birthday parties with friends. I believe that arrogance comes to those for whom things are too easily and too quickly attainable. When you work hard to be able to attain your goals, this is never the case.
