From 14 to 19 June, Milan lights up with the intense days of men's fashion, an event where the trends for next summer 2025 are revealed and, at the same time, new synergies are created between fields and languages, between brands and collections. The ecosystem that is triggered during these excited days is full of good vibes: this is why the counter-schedule to the fashion shows becomes the ideal tool to close the circle of the Milanese week perfectly framed between London, Paris, Florence with Pitti Uomo 106 and the cruise events around the world. The topic of fashion, identity and body decorations are part of the cultural conversation in Milan, and during the days of fashion week they become even more so. There are many opportunities to visit exhibitions in Milan . So let's start from two ongoing " From the Heart to the Hands: Dolce&Gabbana " at Palazzo Reale to enter the creative process of the works and ideas of Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana: a journey within the universe of Haute Couture alongside the inspirations of the two designers: from art to craftsmanship , from theater to cinema , from traditions to popular devotion . (Until July 31st).  

At the 10·Corso·Como Gallery you can visit “Yohji Yamamoto. Letter to the future" , the exhibition curated by Alessio de'Navasques, professor of Fashion Archives at Sapienza University of Rome - with 25 archive items from the Yohji Yamamoto Collection from different eras and seasons inserted in a space of time starting from 1986 to 2024 and which define the Japanese designer's ambivalent and poetic relationship with time.  

At Mudec two more exhibitions to catch up: until June 30th " Martin Parr, Short & Sweet” : the work of the English photojournalist who was able to investigate society in its most controversial aspects through the lens of irony; the exhibition Tattoo. Stories from the Mediterranean : until 28 July a curious journey of discovery of a practice with a thousand-year history , which has spanned the centuries and continents, enriching itself with new identity meanings.

Special appointment on June 15th, from 12pm to 6pm, at the Maiocchi 10 Gallery, with the A-COLD-WALL* SS '25 collection through the vision of the artist Ken-Tonio Yamamoto, reimagined as an immersive ceremonial space with evocative images in motion, cinematic soundscapes and new physical realities (via Maiocchi, 10). From 17 June to 14 July the SWAROVSKI | exhibition will light up Milan MASTERS OF LIGHT - FROM VIENNA TO MILAN a traveling project resulting from the vision of Creative Director Giovanna Engelbert and curated by British journalist, author and fashion critic Alexander Fury. Over 50 couture models embellished with crystals from brands such as Prada and Miu Miu, Gucci, Fendi Couture and Atelier Versace will make your eyes shine. It will also be possible to admire an exhibition of costumes and red carpet looks worn by Harry Styles, Katy Perry and Beyoncé, as well as jewellery, figurines and crystals. Free entry to Palazzo Citterio in via Brera 12.

The exhibition TERRA ROSSA by Vasco Vitali for Antonia Jannone Disegno di Architettura, in Corso Garibaldi 125, is extended until 12 July. A new journey into the artist's painting with a strong realistic impact where the textures of red clay tennis courts are portrayed from unusual points of view. (Monday to Friday from 3.30pm to 7.30pm – mornings and Saturdays by appointment).

June is also Pride Month : Raffles Milano, the European headquarters of the largest international training network in the field of design, returns as a partner of Orgoglio Porta Venezia to celebrate the rainbow month in the name of diversity and a sense of community. We would like to highlight two exhibitions in the midst of a very rich schedule with talks and meetings: I Colpitori - curated by the students Raffles and Elisa Richelmi, Visual Design Program Coordinator, visual art exhibition dedicated to the world of boxing with the aim of reawakening the ability to cultivate and face the pain in favor of a life project and Blind dates always organized by the Raffles students led by the artist Erik Kessles , Dutch artist and designer, Raffles teacher, who involved the students of the three-year design, fashion and visual art courses and photography   in a three-day workshop in which random pairs of students had to find relationships between disparate objects, almost "Dadaist" works, to reconstruct a sense of things. Events and festivals in Milan during MFW 2024

Terraforma EXO Triennale Milan

From 15th to 16th June. It is a short time span but very rich in content. In this segment, Terraforma Exo takes place at Parco Sempione in Milan and in the spaces of Triennale Milano , a new cultural event produced by Threes Productions that addresses the challenges of navigating contemporary cultural landscapes to stimulate introspection and critical thinking. The curatorial program includes live performances, installations, sound walks and panel discussions featuring leading thinkers, musicians and artists working across the spectrum of sound and ecology. In particular, the ecological dimension of sound as an element capable of transforming and creatively interpreting space, opening up new ways of coexistence. Prominent names such as David Toop, Philip Sollman, Konrad Sprenger and Max Eilbacher will animate the program. Sound installations and much more must be booked before it's too late.

K-POP lovers? On Friday 14 June OnlyOneOf , the band of 6 highly respected South Korean boys, arrives to liven up Milan. KB, Rie, Yoojung, Junji, Mill and Nine are fresh off the release of the album "Things I Can't Say Love" with the single "dOpamine" and are ready to make us jump in concert at Fabrique from 8pm. After Turin and before Naples, Saturday 15 June is Milan's turn with a long day and night at the Holi Dance Festival. Set up at the Carroponte and organized by Unconventional Events, the 2024 HDF tour arrives in the city more spectacular than ever thanks to the presence of national and international guests with special effects and the best audio and visual technologies. Aperitif time designed specifically? We got it. On Friday 14 June at Afterlove - the new cocktail bar in the Isola district - there will be a special evening dedicated to the world of K-Pop. From the playlist to the food&drink menu, everything will be Korean inspired. In via Traù, 2 starting from 7pm. Instead we fly to Gaippone with Sake Sound Party on the panoramic terrace of the Radisson Collection Hotel, Santa Sofia, Milan . ISSEI Rooftop hosts a calendar of events dedicated to Japanese culture until June 28th . On Friday 14th (and also on 21st June) Hiroe Namba will try his hand at shodō calligraphy. Sake-based drink list curated by Bar Manager Marco Masiero and created in collaboration with Sake Company, the gastronomic proposal signed by Chef Chiara Di Salvo and the music by DJ Hiroko Hacci.
