Milan Fashion Week - Main Trends Fall/Winter 2022
Maxi Length
This season, midi-length skirts and dresses have been replaced by maxi lengths. Whether a skirt or a coat, designers like Proenza Schouler and Ann Demeulemeester have opted for almost floor-length oversized pieces this season. Peter Do styles a maxi skirt with a waistcoat and a blazer as an alternative to a suit. This length can be combined with a basic white shirt for a casual look.
Bright Colours
In the summer, prominent designers have already doused their collections with bright colors, but this fall, we will not be left without colorful looks. As such, we'll see vibrant colors everywhere: glowing orange from Jacquemus, luscious yellow from Gucci, or eye-catching pink from Valentino.
Office Style
In addition to the oversized suits, designers show models with powerful shoulders and an hourglass silhouette this fall on the catwalks during fashion week. The suit is a self-sufficient garment, but at the same time, it looks elegant and modern. During the Milan Fashion Week, fashionistas completed their street style outfits with bright and bold suits and cropped or patterned jackets.
Mini Skirt
The primary trend of autumn is the miniskirt. Fashionistas at Milan Fashion Week showed a variety of mini-length looks. For example, a short skirt can be offset by a long matching coat, as Emili Sindlev at the Milan Fashion Week during the Alberta Ferretti street style, wearing Miu Miu set.
Leather
Leather is still the top fall trend this year. The most fashionable and straightforward combination is a plain tank top and classic/minimalist leather trousers, as seen in the Chloé show. Designers at Bottega Veneta combined bright leather maxi skirts with minimalist grey jumpers.
