Haute Couture Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2024

As a true fashionista, keeping up to date with the latest fashion trends is essential. We provide you with a comprehensive guide to Haute Couture Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2024 so you can show off your fashion know-how in any situation.

Rahu Mishra

Rahu Mishra is one of India's up-and-coming designers from the world of haute couture, and he mesmerised the audience with his dazzling creations. The collection was titled 'Superheroes' and was a tribute to various insects, bees and snakes worldwide. Only Mishra could translate these sometimes overlooked animals into sexy creations. The designer wanted to highlight nature and mankind's shared responsibility to protect our planet.

Dior

The designer named the collection "Big Aura" after the artist Isabella Ducrot. Many dresses were inspired by trench coats, while others were based on silk, referencing the 'La Cigale Dress' from Dior's Autumn/Winter 1952 collection.

Chanel

The collection was based on ballet and Chanel's rich history in the world of dance and ballet. It was unclear whether Chanel was referencing the 1930s or trying to jump on the "balletcore" TikTok trend.

The collection's theme was 'work in progress', which allowed for interesting variations on the Valli DNA. Voluminous overskirts were paired with short dresses, and dramatic feathered looks appeared.

Viktor & Rolf

Viktor & Rolf combines beautiful clothes with an element of deconstruction. The designs are bold because of the weirdness and the idea of transforming clothes—a truly creative, fun and memorable experience.

Fendi

The future inspired the collection. Again, we wondered if Fendi was inspired by the archives or the latest TikTok trend called "Mobb Wifes"? The collection screamed fur.

Robert Wun must have seen a preview of Saltburn because his collection screamed Murder on the Dancefloor!

Valentino

Pierpaolo knows how to do beautiful colour blocking! The collection featured well-established silhouettes, but details like 'feathers' added a sense of newness and freshness. And let's remember the dreamy, flowing gowns reminiscent of Valentino himself.

Armani

Armani called his collection 'Okature Onzhou, ' which translates to playing with haute couture. The collection was playful while respecting the more conservative Armani DNA.
