After the collection, the creative director of Gucci unveils the Ancora Design.
A first project in the world of design and interiors, with the precise idea of: «Defining the meaning that iconicity takes on, where the legacies of the great names in design and brands meet» . It's called Design Again, the project that the Gucci maison and its creative director, Sabato De Sarno , will unveil during the Milanese design week. «The golden age of Italian design contributed to making Italian mastery known throughout the world, through craftsmanship and mass reproduction. A renowned alliance between our deep-rooted cultured professionalism and widespread pragmatism" , we read in a note from the double G brand. Which in the renovated spaces of the new flagship store in via Montenapoleone will unveil a special edition of five objects from years gone by, symbols of Italianity and even more Milaneseness, with the aim of restoring the concept of contemporaneity while highlighting, at the same time, their iconic nature (the editing and selection of the pieces part of the project was entrusted to the curator Michela Pelizzari, founder of the agency creative P:S, ed.). Architect Guillermo Santomà collaborates on this project: he designed the space that will host the objects, ready to be sold on the brand's website. The selection includes the "Le Mura by Mario Bellini" sofa created by the designer for Tacchini (1972 and re- edition 2022), a ce-tapis carpet decorated with a texture designed by Piero Portaluppi (2022), the "Storet" chest of drawers created by Nanda Vigo for Acerbis (1994, re-edition 2020) but also the " Opachi " vase by Tobia Scarpa for Venini (1960).
