Thinking The Unthinkable: A Met Gala Without Blake Lively?
Although we were pretty excited about the Met Gala 2023, which will be held this year with the theme of A Line of Beauty in memory of Karl Lagerfeld, we also had a little hearth break as Blake Lively announced she would not attend the event. Considering her magnificent and breathtaking appearances at the Met Gala until now (she even manages to match with the carpet!), we feel downhearted not to see the elegance of Lively, one of the most anticipated stars of the night.
Unfortunately, Blake confirmed she would skip the Met Gala even though she is in New York that Monday. Recently, upon a question asked by her fans at the reopening party of Tiffany & Co.'s Fifth Avenue store in NYC, she confirmed that we wouldn't be able to see a Lively chic at the gala this year, but she will be watching the event. They must have been pretty busy since Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds welcomed their fourth child this year. When we consider Blake's real effort for the Met Gala and the many magnificent looks we all recognise, the absence of Blake at the Met Gala 2023 means that there will be no unforgettable Blake lively Met Gala moments. Instead, fans will have to wait for next year's Met Gala to be captivated by the next Blake moment.
