Basketball or modeling – which one do you prefer and why?

Andrej Mangold: "Clearly, basketball, which has been a part of my life for over 30 years. Basketball has defined my life, shaped it, and enabled me to achieve a lot. Through my success in basketball, I ventured into the media world and got my first modeling jobs. Modeling and working in front of the camera is incredibly fun, especially because I get to collaborate with many very talented people around the world, from whom I can learn a lot. The great thing about modeling is that you can always try and reinvent yourself with every job, as each assignment is different. Whether it's new poses, creating new styles, or having an extraordinary location. Professional sports have taught me a very good foundation of discipline and perseverance for modeling. For me, it is important to prepare optimally for each job to meet the client's and brand's expectations, so that I can always deliver my best performance, just like in basketball. Modeling and creating moments and shots is wonderful, but it will never completely match my passion for basketball."

How would you describe your personal style?

Andrej Mangold: "I would describe my style as a mix of sporty-chic and casual-trendy."

Can you tell us about any upcoming projects you're excited about?

Andrej Mangold: "I have national and international brand collaborations until the end of next year. Additionally, my girlfriend and I are currently launching our own product line, and I am involved in two internationally operating companies, which I support in an advisory capacity. I am also very excited to expand our consulting and marketing business internationally."

What inspires you the most in your career?

Andrej Mangold: "I've been fortunate to meet many people and build a large network through my basketball career. Additionally, I've seen places around the world I likely wouldn't have otherwise visited. That's something that inspires me. Hard and detailed work, combined with passion, almost always pays off and makes things possible that one wouldn't have dreamed of. Especially in modeling, passion is a crucial attribute that helps me deliver my best performances in front of the camera and satisfy my brand partners."
