Once again, the creative director of Dior, Maria Grazia Chiuri, sends a loud and clear message; fashion and arts are forever intertwined.

The Maison’s Autumn/Winter 2022-2023 ready-to-wear collection was revealed on a Parisian catwalk surrounded by fine paintings of Mariella Bettineschi. It was the Next Era of women in lead in front of strong female portraits inspired by the history of painting from the 16th to the 19th century, as the show notes have mentioned.

Besides this melange of arts, Chiuri brought technology to her ensembles through a collaboration with the Italian start-up D-Air lab. A lust for the future, with the omnipresent aesthetics of Dior, was visible on every single look.

The iconic bar jacket was transformed and fused with elements of modern technology, a vision insinuating that there is no future without a past.

The Dior woman for the upcoming season is elegant, but above all celebrates a new chapter in innovative fashion and girl power.
