Cartier presented the new Nature Sauvage high jewelery collection in Vienna: an exhibition at the Kursalon Hübner and a fashion show event at the MAK museum with a performance by the British singer Raye. Among the stars and ambassadors of the fashion house were Sofia Coppola and Elle Fanning.
Cartier has chosen Vienna , a European city rich in history and culture, to present Nature Sauvage , its new High Jewelery collection . Two different moments, two different places. A curated exhibition of the jewels was presented in a Viennese Renaissance palace, the Kursalon Hübner, where the collection could be admired in a thematic itinerary, with the introduction of nature-themed decorations, in a contrast between the precious fauna represented by the jewels, the classicism of the location and the naturalistic elements.
W ith a gala event at the Museum of Applied Arts (MAK), Cartier paid homage to its “bestiary” of precious creatures. Called Nature Sauvage (meaning wild nature), the 87-piece collection offers a new interpretation of Cartier’s signature animals – chief among them the famous panther – with pieces that blur the lines between figurative and abstract. Previewing the creations in the Austrian capital, the guests and VIPs had fun trying to understand which ferocious beasts or delicate birds inspired the most evocative necklaces, brooches, earrings, rings and jewels which evoke animals ranging from turtles, through zebras, crocodiles and even flamingos.
After the welcome cocktail, the fashion show was held, with exceptional creations and clothes by designer Jonathan Ailwood. The guests – including friends and ambassadors of the Maison Sofia Coppola, Elle Fanning, Anna Sawai, RAYE, Sofie Royer and Kimberley Anne Woltemas – were able to savor the cuisine of Juan Amador, a three-time starred German chef of Spanish origins at the Amador restaurant . The dishes presented combinations of precision and minimalism, surprise, experimentation and creativity. The evening then continued with a choreographic performance by the dancer Arthur Cadre and a solo performance by the Italian tenor Fabio Sartori, before the engaging concert by the British artist Raye, winner of several Brit Awards and international music star.
