1. To soothe and calm your skin

This supercooling and a relaxing face mask will clean your skin and hydrate it. This face mask conveys deep hydration from the coconut oil, gives your skin a hit of antioxidants with the honey, and relieves redness with the lavender oil. Mix all the ingredients and apply them to your face with a face mask brush to feel the at-home spa experience as ultimate as possible. You will need:

  • 1 teaspoon of honey
  • 1 teaspoon of coconut oil
  • ¼ ripe avocado
  • 2 drops of lavender oil

2. To lightening your skin

If you want to soften your skin and prevent the signs of aging, such as wrinkles, fine lines, and dark spots, this is the recipe you have to follow. Pumpkin contains vitamin A, C, E, and antioxidants, eliminating various skin blemishes. Moreover, pumpkin helps to exfoliate dead skin cells. Mix all the ingredients, apply them to your face and under your eyes, leave it for 15 minutes, and wash it off with warm water. Don’t forget to use your moisturizer. You will need:

  • 2 tablespoons of mashed organic raw pumpkin
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon raw honey
  • 1 organic egg yolk
  • 2 teaspoons oatmeal flour

3. Minimise enlarged pores

Unfortunately, there is no way to close all your pores, but there is a way to make them less noticeable. Egg and lemon have astringent properties that will tighten your skin. Also, honey will moisturize and make your skin feel more flexible. You will need:

  • 1 egg white
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • a little squeeze of lemon juice

4. For oily skin

This is the perfect face mask recipe for oily skin that will make you look clean and fresh. Cucumber helps hydrate the skin, but it also reduces any breakout activity because it contains vitamin C. Combined with avocado, which adjusts the oil production, it will limit any inflammation and make your skin glow. You will need:

  • 1 avocado
  • 2 tablespoons of plain yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon of honey

6. For sensitive skin

If your skin is sensitive and has redness, the cocoa powder helps with irritation. Yogurt is rich in probiotics, and honey tightens the skin. You will need:

  • 1 tablespoon of yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon of honey
  • 1 teaspoon of cocoa powder

Things to avoid

These masks are safe for your skin since they don’t contain any chemical ingredients, but there are some tips you should know and things to avoid before you put any mask on your face.

First, you should avoid applying certain ingredients directly onto your face without pre-mixing them first. For instance, lemons and apple cider vinegar could make the skin sensitive to light and possibly cause skin bleaching. Also, be careful and check the sell-by dates of the products. Last but not least, you should use the mask on the day you make it; ingredients exposed to air and bacteria can irritate your skin. It would be best to make your mask with fresh ingredients and use it within an hour.
