After introducing this care routine to your hair that looks bloated, electrified and messy, you will no longer try to hide your gorgeous-looking curls. Instead, your hair’s healthy, lively and energetic style will attract all eyes.
1. Use a curl-defining conditioner
Your curly hair tends to be more prone to dryness. That’s why you should include conditioners in your routine that will give your hair the moisture it needs and, at the same time, make your curls clear. Products containing, especially, nutritious oils are our favourite.
2. Make sure the shampoo choice is specific to curly hair.
Curly hair shampoos are different from shampoos for normal hair, and they may encounter dryness problems more often. Although the sulfate found in classical shampoos is very useful in making the shampoo foam, this foam can cause the hair to dry out even more.
3. Be careful how to apply the conditioner
Applying the conditioner by separating it into strands with your fingers will lose the effect of that shapeless look you encounter after drying your hair. After using the conditioner in this way, you can ensure the softness of your hair by rinsing it with cold water.
4. Know your drying technique & avoid heat styling
While drying your hair, pretend to push the curls up and down with your hands, and try squeezing these strands in the palm of your hand. And remember, always dry your curly hair from the base. And last but not least, it’s best to stay away from heat styling your hair. Instead of straightening your hair with heat or blow-drying, clarifying your curls with mousse will create a great result.
5. Use a coarse-toothed comb
You can use thick and wide combs to separate the tangled hair strands. Make sure you comb your curls after drying.
6. Don’t wash your hair too often
Washing our hair more than necessary can increase our dryness complaint. Ensure you only wash your hair a little, especially in winter. Washing your hair every two days will balance the dryness of curly hair strands.
7. Use a satin pillowcase or bonnet
You can choose satin pillowcases or use a bonnet to prevent your curly hair from getting electrified due to friction all night long.
8. Use foam
To make your curly hair look fuller and more striking, try the hair mousse you will apply from the bottom to the wash. Also, remember to add volume to your hair so that you lean forward and ruffle during the day.
9. Get the haircut dry
Cut your hair when it is dry, not wet, and stay away from scissors. Instead, you can try layered cuts and minimize frizz.
10. Stay away from sulphate and alcohol-containing care products
To avoid adversely affecting the moisture balance in your curly hair, you should avoid products containing heavy salt and alcohol. Yes, you must stay away from surf sprays and dry shampoos too!
