In case you hadn’t noticed, the 2000s are back. Really don’t see how anyone could have missed that with a frightening rise of low-rise jeans, criminally short skirts, and Barbiecore flooding our social feeds. However, while miniskirts are undeniably back in style, we have an alternative this time. Finally, the fashion industry has understood that no one wants to worry about flashing strangers on the street no matter how great of a fit. So now the fashion world is stepping up and earning redemption after the low rise, peplum-tailored trauma they shook the 2000’s generation with over twenty years ago by bringing back maxi skirts. Finally! After the whole Kardashian craze, we figured there would be more representation for curvy behinds and thick thighs way before this, but hey, better now than never, right? Don’t get us wrong, this style is for everyone from XXS to XXL, but have you ever tried to modestly rock a mini skirt while being anything except size 0? Didn’t think so. Those things are not exactly forgiving. Maxi skirts, however, are stylish, size-inclusive, and rarely lead to an indecent exposure lawsuit after an accidental slip in front of a crowd. We are living for this, and we are not the only ones. Celebrities are once again one step ahead and showing off their take on the maxi skirt mania, whether in an award gala or grocery run. Look how to wear the maxi skirt this fall from the photo selection below.
